I'm happy to do any troubleshooting in FileZilla that you can suggest. ForkLift is not a free program, and I'd like to prevent having to pay for a service FileZilla has been able to give me for free. I'd like to know how I can resolve this issue with FileZilla. Once created, wait a few minutes till it says it's completed the setup, then go to your FTP Client and type in host: and the username with password, on port 21. ForkLift has no trouble connecting to the GoDaddy Managed WordPress sites. Check here: Hosting Dashboard > Settings > FTP Users Create another user other than the 'Primary FTP User', as that is typically your regular login info to the site. Perhaps the login authentication error 530 failed because you have activated unusual encryption mode. Finally, I did a Google search to find other SFTP clients and came across ForkLift-I needed a quick solution because I had time-sensitive things to do. On the other hand, the problem can be inside FileZilla. So, I thoroughly checked my SFTP info, restarted my computer, restarted my router, tried a different computer on my network. I contacted GoDaddy and got pretty clear that it was not a problem on their end. Then, at one point, I stopped being able to connect to the GoDaddy Managed WordPress sites (all others work fine), with the error "Could not connect to server." This was after I updated to the newest version of FileZilla. I ran into an odd issue today where I was able to connect to all of the above WordPress sites fine via SFTP. We also have some WordPress sites on SiteGround. Many of our WordPress sites are hosted on the GoDaddy Managed WordPress hosting, and one is on a GoDaddy Dedicated Server. I've been using FileZilla Client for a couple of years now without issues to connect to our company's websites.
